[GRD 4020] Blog Assignment #2 -The Good and the Bad: Movie edition

The Good:

Anatomy of a Murder - Saul Bass (the man is a genius!)

Vertigo - Saul Bass

Lady in a Cage (1964) Title Sequence - One of the most creative title sequences ever. Typography interacting with photography to create a chaotic but also tame sequence, strangely and successfully sets the mood for the entire movie.

Dead Ringer (1964) Title Sequence

Valley of the Dolls (1967) DVD Menu - Yes completely random but I love it! The pills creating the face and the photo montage in sync with the music just does it for me lol.

The Bad:

Pun?

Arnold in his usual typecast role as some kind of Hercules figure. Poster doesn't help much either.

  1. Hey Shane! Did you see the Saul Bass version of Star Wars? That was pretty good as well. :)

  2. Have you seen the new Valley of the Dolls movie with Bette Middler in it? I've never seen the older version...I bet it's pretty good, right?

  3. Lauren, nope I haven't seen that one but you should definitely see the old version. It's campy as hell but that's what makes it so great!
